> I'm changing the clutch slave cylinder on my 4kq as a preventative
measure (the engine is out, BTW) and am having some trouble. I removed
the clip and even soaked it in some penetrating oil, then pounded on it
some with a drift and a hammer... no dice.
Definitely easier with the g'box out, I think I could maybe manage to do
it in place now that I have done it, but I wouldn't have fancied my
chances first time round.
Have you have removed both the spring clip bent piece of wire AND the
roll pin...?
The roll pin will need to be beaten out before you stand any chance of
moving the cylinder.
Other than this, a drift and a BFH worked for me... it was still very
stiff though, and that was despite the fact there was little if any
corrosion present...
Just thought I'd check as you mentioned the clip, but not the
roll-pin...
if that's out, hit it hard, hit it often and best of luck...
