In Europe, the type 44 is considered a long-lasting car which is easy
to maintain..

I think the difference is that most of the European models don't have
any of the "bells and whistles" that US cars have..

My '86 100 CSq was the top-of-the-line 100 back in 1986, it does have
power locks, but the sunroof has got a hand crank, manual windows, no
AC (only manual heater controls), no ABS, of course no power seats,
manually adjustable and non-heated mirrors, it doesn't even have a
delayed interior light.. Nothing else either, except a leather
steering wheel and rear speaker.s (yes, it was an add-on)

I think all that stuff makes up the problems when the cars get old..
