Alternator problem & ?

I started using 3M Scotchkote electrical coating
p/n43906.  Got it at Lowes in the area of all the
connectors and tape.  Couple bucks for a 4 oz. can
with brush applicator.  Used it first on Euro light
relay harness.  I used shrink sleeve to seal the
connector to the wire, but after plugging everything
in, I noticed part of the male terminals on the relay
are still exposed no matter how hard you push the
connectors on.  I coated this area with this stuff.
They do get alot of exposure as I mounted them on a
portion of the radiator support just behind the
bumper.  Recently pulled one just to check.  Look like
brand new.  Now I'm using this to seal every
connection.  Cheap insurance.
