That happened to me once in 80tq at Buttonwillow Racetrack with a modded-wrx
hot on my tail, we were in a long sweeper, WOT, and all of a sudden power
just died and a huge cloud of black smoke came billowing out the tail pipe.
I let off the throttle immediately, then rolled back into it, everything was
fine, I finally realized I was down to under 1/4 tank and I just ran out of
fuel for a second.
Doesn't sound like that's the case for you, does it still make 17psi ok, or
only up to 10psi? Could it have been something with the water injection?
