I took my 99 A6Q with 52,510 miles to the dealer for the 52,500 Service.
Prior to the service the car indicated no problems. They did replace a
drivers side outer CV Boot ($360) total service cost $600. Three days later,
this past Saturday, I could not start the car. In the normal start position
(Park or Neutral) nothing would turn or engage. When the tow truck arrived we
tried jumping and got nothing. By chance, we moved the selector from park
all the way down to drive and back to park and it started. I thought that it
was some kind of fluke but then it happened twice again on Sunday.
Has anyone had the same or similar experience and what was the resolution?
Thank You,
