I agree on all the points you made.  I don't think
this guy is an "evil salesman", but he COULD be.
e-bay is loaded with them and they don't really do
anything about it.  They have some bullsh*t "programs"
in place to "protect" they buyers, but I think it's
pretty much caveat emptor.  After I got over all the
misinformation bs, I thought as others had posted,
what can you do with this motor without any of the
supporting electronics?  If it's a direct replacement
for one you've hosed then you MIGHT be fine?  You're
right that people are bidding on it, but 10 years ago
my basement was full of sh*t I bought with no way,
means or use of employing it.  I just don't know on
this one.  If it's NOT a direct replacement, what will
you do with it?  Is it even good?  "I" don't know?
Nice, but VERY risky.
