You are probably right about not being as good of quality boots. I had to
replace the outer boot on one of my rebuilt axles. I think the axle had
been in 3 or 4 years so even though it was a PITA, it still hasn't cost me
all that much, especially considering that the CV was probably due for a
clean/lube anyway.
Hmmmm... this has got me wondering, will the axles from my 84 auto tranny
FWD turbo 5k fit my 86 5ktq?
