Batteries: how much is too much current drain??

I have a friend w/ a battery that dies all the time if you let it sit more
than a day. I went out and tested the current drain while the car was off
and it read 300 mA (0.3 A). I'm not sure, but my guess is that this seems
too much. Does anyone know what's a "normal" drain for an early 90's Audi
or any car for that matter? I'd like to have a value in mind, so I know
when to stop pulling the fuses... Thanks in advance.
