This happened to my 89 200TQ prior to me buying it (left widow open for six
months).
I used a heat gun to make the leather type material elastic and pulled it back
over the top
and reglued it. This worked great until it got hot outside and it came loose.
I ended up
buying a good door panel of the same color from a lister and this solved my
problem.
You might try the heat gun trick and use some to glue other than contact cement
which
does not work.

Good luck
