Mark,
I think air flow to the rotors is the biggest issue. I've been using my
996 brake upgrade at the track this year w/o any problems. Granted,
I'm probably not driving nearly as fast as you, but no problems
whatsoever.
My car has air scoops under the front air dam to push air toward the
brakes
and big air scoops mounted behind the rotors to direct air directly at
the
brakes. The UrS and the later A4/S4s do not have any real brake ducting,
seems like a huge omission to me.
Out of curiosity, how much are Stoptech rotors in terms of replacement
costs
once they're worn down? Are they as time-consuming to true as the
Porsche
setup?
