"THOR"
this is the method that works.....however .....the only way it worked was
1) shallow 19mm 12pt. 3/8 drive socket
2) 1" x 3/8" extension
3) 3/8 "x 8" ratchet, round handle...fine drive if possible( the fine drive
and 12 point really help to get the handle in the right position)
4) 10" extension pipe on end of ratchet handle( the thinner the better)
after trying alot of different combos including 1/2" setups and a 19mm 3/8
deep
the above method seemed the only method to work
the tie rod boots need to be removed or at least undone...it's very tight and
the extension pipe has to come out in the right position ....the 3/8 19mm
deep set my ratchet back about 10mm too far....a swivel head ratchet might
work with the deep
and aid in positioning but I used a straight one.....the tie rod angles
rearward and
interferes on the upstroke of ratchethandle extension so positioning really
matters.....this job requires alot of torque for initial breakloose.....all
1/2 inch drive setups were too wide for clearance issues
