Engine Shipments from Europe

I'm doing a bit of investigation on how I can get an engine and/or transaxle
shipped to me in California from northern Europe.  Does anyone know of any
companies who can help me with this sort of thing?  I appreciate any leads
any of you can provide ... as well as any caveats or BTDT which can make the
process as painleass as possible.  I'd also like to see if I can get a
ballpark estimate of the cost to ship this sort of thing to California from
Europe.
