There should be no springs in there as the ECU should be the only thing
controlling the timing.
We took a 3B distributor apart and it did not have any springs in it.
i.e. the only thing the distributor is to do is to distribute spark.
If the rotor shaft is solidly hooked up to the distributor shaft and the
hall sensor is solidly mounted onto the dist. body the springs will do
nothing. i.e. they will not have any effect on timing.
