Window regulator Interchangeability for 5k from 80 or 4k - rear

Subject line summarizes.  I have good regulators from 4000 quattros and an
'89 80.  The passenger rear regulator on the black 5000 turbo quattro avant
is dead shorted - bad.  Can I use the regulator from either the 4000 or the
80?

This is the last niggle to fix prior to new owner coming to pick up the car
this evening.
