MAC14 fuel frequency valve

Anyone ever seen one of these things stop buzzing when the engine's warm?

It's erratic.  It tails off to nothing over a period of about three seconds, and stays off
until there's an electrical disturbance - the radiator fan comes on, or the headlights are
switched on.  Then it starts up again and buzzes for a bit.  It's not a sudden stop/start - it
comes and goes gradually but quite quickly.
