Try not to put many more miles on while working on the dispute.

If the dealer underwrote the warranty, small claims court, better business
bureau and word of mouth can be big negitives to a dealer.
If it is underwritten by a third party, contact them for guidance and
refferal.
Most extended warranties are out of pocket expenses to the dealer, hence his
reluctance to do the work, It is likely he would end up replaceing the
engine. They are experts at doing many things to wear you down. After all,
you are the one being inconvienced by this mess, he has the advantage.

I've been through this twice. Patience, keeping good notes
(Dates=times=names) knowing both your rights and the dealer's, networking
with the car manufacture customer service regional rep. and don't ever back
down! Car rentals may cost you out of pocket. One of my adventures cost
over $900 car rental over many months.
Good luck and pray often!
