5K won't idle, stalls, won't start for a few minutes but drives above idle

I had a 84 4k that acted the same way and after $600 worth of repairs by an
mechanic who claimed he worked on Audi's and still no resolve, I took the
car to a mechanic that specialized in foreign cars and he replaced a
fuse....the car ran great again.
