Here's hoping there some BTDT's amongst the listers on the subject of repla=
cing body side/door mouldings. After a long career, the ones on my 87.5 CG=
T have apparently decided to retire; but like so many ungrateful employees,=
they have conspired to commit one final defiant act. They have turned-up =
their knickers and presented their most unattractive side for their owner a=
nd the world to see. The insult has continued as I was forced to duct tape=
one of the rebels in place so that I was able to open the driver's door. =
The aforementioned injury ocurred as I began prep the car for repainting, a=
nd I inquired about the price of replacement mouldings. I was looking to b=
uy new, original equipment because I figured that any recycled mouldings wo=
uld also be ripe for mutany. Now I find my wallet is near mutany over my m=
oulding's separatist movement and the funding of more compliant replacement=
s=2E The discounted $500 quote I recieved for the 6 piece replacement set =
has me considering the use of J.B. Weld and some spray-painted styrofoam.

Help me please, before I do something rash! Are there any alternative par=
t sources or creative solutions that I can consider?

TIA
