Mutil-Function Temp Sender - Ops Check?

I had been wondering about that today before I saw your reply.  My original
thinking was that 18 psi was about 1.3 bar.  Assuming this was absolute
pressure (which the factory in-dash gauges read), I knew that would be low -
even for a non-chipped car.  Thus my original question.

My new question(s):  Isn't 18 psi (gage pressure) a lot of boost?  How much
boost will the stock 10v I-5 engines handle?  I had been told at one point
that about 16 psi was the max.
