Agreed. The question was more of a, "am I missing something here"
question. My assumptions of how the system is wired haven't changed, and
have been verified a couple times in the past posts.

I just was confused by the "Wrong" post. Strictly speaking, some cars
should run, and very likely poorly with damage to electrical components.
