Semperit snow tires...any experience?

Hey Craig,

I went through the same re-search last year, and ended up buying Nokian
Hakka NRW. http://www.nokiantires.com/indexen.html
They are considered all weather tires (not all season), however this is
the only tire in Canada that has a snow rating as well. I found them
almost as good on snow and ice as dedicated snow tires with the
difference that you don't have change them for the summer. My Audi
doesn't get driven much in the summer anyway, so for me it's the perfect
tire.

Our winters here in Alberta may be similar to what you describe.
Sometimes we have tons of snow but even in extreme cases it is cleaned
up quite fast and at least the major routes are clear, so I found that
snow tires were an over kill -- Especially for the quattro.

Cheers,
  Zsolt
