84 5kT parts for 86 5ktq revisited

A while back I posted that I had a lead on an inexpensive 84 5k turbo that I
was considering as a parts car for my 86 5ktq.  The general consensus from
the list was that there wouldn't be a whole lot of parts available to swap.

Well, I had another look at the car (couldn't help myself - you understand,
right) and it seems that a whole lotta stuff is identical to mine.  I spent
some time in the FA comparing part #'s and there actually is a lot that can
be used.

I probably should clarify that generally my intent is to use the 'good' part
from the 84 while I rebuild the 'bad' part from the 86.  According to the FA
there is a whole bunch of steering, suspension, brake, electrical (even the
ignition switch), parts with identical part #'s.

In fact, the FA lists the 2.23l 121kw MC for the 84 turbo with an identical
part # for the MC in the 86 5ktq!  Holy spare turbo MC Batman!

I think I can get this car for about $500 (that's Canuck Bucks boys and
girls - like 25 cents for the rest of the world, eh?)

Seeing as I don't particularly need a spare turbo MC, I know a certain 90Q
that might get a transplant.....

If anyone thinks I'm totally out to lunch on the part #'s and everything,
please let me know.  I may be missing something here.
