Semperit snow tires...any experience?

I got a set of NRW's for my 1990 200 tqw last year. Very pleased with it.
Traction in snow in VT in early April was outstanding. Also very quiet on
dry surfaces.

I'll second Zsolt's recommendation ...

I've had the Nokian NRW's for winter tires on their own set of wheels for
my 200q for a few years. I'm so impressed with their snow performance
>and< their performance in the dry (both summer >and< winter) that I put a
set on my wife's 89 100 fwd for year round use. Here in Columbus our
winters are similar to western PA... sometimes winter is hell, other times
it seems like we get no winter at all. I would not have believed a tire
could perform this well year round if I didn't experience it for myself.
The NRW's cost a bit more than many other snow tires, but they make up for
it in not having to own a second set of wheels and do the twice a year
swap. Plus, with this arrangement there's no worry about getting caught by
surprise with an early snow storm. My wife is perfectly happy with the
NRW's. Of course they are not a substitute for a high performance tire,
but in the summer no one would ever know they were riding on snow tires if
you didn't tell them.

Based on experience with the NRW's on my 200q I think they'll last a good
50,000 miles... maybe more.

Hakka NRW. http://www.nokiantires.com/indexen.html
They are considered all weather tires (not all season), however this is
the only tire in Canada that has a snow rating as well. I found them
almost as good on snow and ice as dedicated snow tires with the
difference that you don't have change them for the summer. "
