rear speaker madness 90 200tqa

  Listers,

  If there are any radio savy listers out there I need
help
 i have a 90 200 tqa without Bose so I have 2 speakers
on the front dash and 4 speakers on the rear doors 2
highs and 2 lows
 the car didn't have the rear speaker amp( or booster)
when I bought the car
 but I got one from a lister hooked it up connected
the wires for the rear speakers to the radio but the
speakers arn't working
I have an after market CD player Clarion I tried to
wire the rear speakers direct to the fronts but they
still don't work the only thing that is happening is
the door a jar buzzer is ringing no rear speakers
 I've had the door panels off and the wires look good
no cuts or broken wires
 I have the Bentley's and have been looking at Vol III
but can't make heads or tails of it
 Do I need a booster specificaly from a avant or would
one from a sedan work?
 Any info would be great.
