I'm really afraid to reply to this for fear of pissing off the Audi gods,
but my AAA+ is paid up so here goes ;-)
14+ years of Audi ownership (9 Audis, and counting, to date) and more miles
than I can pin down without thinking too much. A grand total of two "tow
ins" and both were the '87 5ktq type 44 I presently own. Once for a broken
clutch pedal (which happened at a tire shop while getting new tires
installed) and once for a dead fuel pump. Over the same period of time I
also had 2 "tow ins" with my wife's Ovlovs. Once for when the '85 245 DL
lost a MAS Air sensor, and once when TVFH (the ovlov from a hot place), aka
the thankfully departed 850 turbo wagon, ate a valve for no apparent reason
(well, maybe it was hungry?). Not too bad. Hundreds of thousands of miles,
countless road trips. I realize I have been lucky. Hopefully the Audi gods
will continue to look favorably our direction since we exorcised the evil
Swedish influence in the carport and are now a happy 12 rings family ;-)
(Two daily drivers and a spare--gotta hedge your bets ya know?)
