Well, hold on there. Here's Bad Puppy's record ...
1. Died for no reason while doing 30 mph on back road. Almost had it towed,
but 5 minutes of frantic cranking got it running again. The electrical?
gremlin
never reappeared.
2. Went out one morning to start the car, and had no clutch. The tab on the
clutch pedal had broken. Had to have it towed to NEA.
3. Radiator burst on highway off-ramp. Had to have it towed.
4. Gas tank split a seam. Had to have it towed. Big bucks to replace a tank!
5. Oil cooler hose burst, spilling out all the oil. A quick shutdown and a tow
job saved the day. Well, it was a day or two later.
6. Oil cooler hose burst again. I nursed it home and fixed it myself.
7. Starter died at a sub shop 30 miles from home. AAA helped push start it.
Had it towed once I got back to the apartment.
That's in about 30 months. Those are the ones that stick out in my mind.
There may be one or two others. And now that I look at the list, she really
was a Bad Puppy. But she's been fine for the last few months (Good doggie),
since most of the PO delayed maintenance has been addressed.
