  Hello,
It looks like its time to buy the manual for my 87 4000 Quattro.
Obviously Bently appears to be the way to go. But should I get it on CD
or the real book? I see that they have both. Anybody have an opionion
they would like to share on this one? I see benefits both directions, I
personally lean toward the real book, but I have heard about people
doing horrible things like spilling coffee on it, and ruining a $100.00+
  book.

Thanks in advance for your opionion on which one really is the best
  option,

For your 4000csq, get the book. The electronic version is simply a scan of the factory microfiche, (graphics, not text searchable, rather slow) and doesn't include wiring diagrams.

A few comments on the other cd/books:
The 80/90 CD is not currently available (was available in the first generation style, never available in the current generation CD). Book available; CD should become available in a few months.

The 100/S4/S6/A6 book is out of print; CD available. Same content in each.

The '96-01 A4/S4 CD is supplemented by a book on the '96-01 A4 (no S4 content except wiring diagrams); the book is condensed considerably from the CD content, excluding internal transmission repairs, etc.
