It's not the RR, and it must be an '90. 200q20v's only came in two
years; 1990(Euro market only) and 1991(USA market only) and in both
cases, they have the 3B, not the RR. The RR is the UrQ engine.

If it stalls coming to a stop particularly immediately after hard
running(doesn't sound like this particular problem) then the turbo
bypass valve is shot.

Off the top of my head...
Check the ignition key switch(wiggle the ignition key with the engine
running), particularly if he has a lot of keys on his keyring(or the
PO did, I guess.) Also swap out the fuel pump relay with a known
good unit if you have one; they often break internally. Double check
the ground points on the IM side. Double check ignition wires and
ignition coil connections.

It is specific to the radio model; depends upon if it is Bose or
not(wagons = no bose, sedan = bose at least in the US market.) ID
the radio and we'll have a better answer for you.
