AAAAARRRRRGGGHHHHHH!
No, I'm not upset that my wife got a screw stuck in her tire. Should be a
simple task to stick the car in the garage, jack it up, unbolt the tire,
remove the donut, bolt it on in place of the tire, and then take the tire to
Discount Tire on Monday to get the leak patched (NOT Plugged!!!) for free,
right?
WRONG!
The Avant has the "optional rear-facing seat", under which the spare IS
STUCK!! HOW DO I GET IT OUT????
Seems I have to move the entire seat portion, in order to get the spare out.
OK, how hard could that be. The lug wrench fits on the bolts that screw the
seat into the side frame members. Out they come. THE SEAT IS STILL STUCK!!!
OK, calm down - don't get #$!!%&$ MAD yet, just go and get the owner's
manual, and read how to remove the donut when you have the optional
rear-facing seat installed.
NOTHING THERE!!! (now it seems like a good time to get mad...)
Before I roll the #@m thing off the nearest cliff (yeah, like we have any
such in MI...), PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!
How do you change from the regular tire to the donut in a '98 A6 Avant with
the rear-facing seats installed??
Thanks for any help available!
