Low oil pressure

Hey Alan,

Just out of curiosity did you send the crankshaft out for machine work? If
so many places will remove the oil plugs in the rod journals for cleaning.
If those plugs did not et put back then you will have a low oil pressure
condition. I've had that happen a couple of times on big diesels. Also
excessive bearing clearance will cause low pressure, an easy way to check
that is to lift up on the nose of the crank, if it moves up or down more than
a couple thousandths then your main bearings may be the wrong size or the
crank could have been ground incorrectly. I've had that happen as well.....

Good luck,
