Oh, I know! I have always missed it on my car!
Back in the 70ies I built an electronic intermittent wiper for my Dad's VW
412S Variant, which had a potentiometer to infinitely adjust the settings,
so you could get the intermittency set for just the right time for the
conditions.
The timing is almost always too frequent on my V8, and I end up with the
"automatic manual intervention" method, which is simply annoying! Therefore
I have resorted to Rain-X on my car, and my wife HATES IT when I don't
frequently clean off the rain!
I'll get one of these relays post-haste! Thanx!
