The 20v list has a thorough treatment of the part numbers and procedures
for this issue.

Programming them is as follows: The default delay is six seconds. If you
want a different delay, starting from the off position of the wiper
stalk, you place it into the delay position until it initiates a sweep.
At that point, place the stalk back into "off". Leave it there for as
long as you want the programmed delay, then place it back into the delay
position. Delay away, baby.

The manual for the Corrado claims any delay up to 45 seconds can be
programmed, if I recall correctly. I can never seem to get more than 30
seconds out of mine. Programming can be fussy. If while flipping back
into off to await your delay, you accidentally bump too far down, it sets
you back to the default, for example. Minor problem.

VAG seems to have been very willy-nilly on what cars got this feature.
High end cars like the V8 sometimes didn't have them, yet a 92 Corrado
with a V6 does. (That makes it sound like I think a Corrado is not a
high-end car. Not the case) That is the model I claimed I wanted a relay
for, when I installed one of these in a 95 90Q. Works well.
