essentially what I was fumbling for.
I read from oldest to newest and after sending this I read everyone's near
perfect explaination.

what was your question?  the 4k, etc., use the cam driven pump to make
vacuum to back up manifold vacuum for the brake booster.  The hydraulic
systems ala 5k, urQ, are completely different.
