Unfortunately, Chris, I don't think there is a fix you can do on your own.  The
displays are known to just go bad.  I had the same thing and had to send it back to
Blaupunkt for replacement.  The customer service reps were actually quite helpful,
though, and replaced mine free of charge since it was only about 1 month outside the
warranty period.  The new display has held up so far.  Good luck and keep us posted
with any new insight.

Incidentally, it looks like I may be selling my '95 90 quattro due to a job that is
taking me out of the country (USA that is).  Depending on the eventual buyer's
wishes, I may pull the Toronto out and sell it separately.  If any listers want to
contact me off-line and/or make me an offer I can keep you posted on what happens.
I expect to place an ad for the car on audifans.com and audiworld.com quite soon so
heads up on that too.
