Thanks Ron. I saw your answer. I read my posts
chronologically. From first to most recent. Missed
too much good stuff going the other way. I did check
their site. You're right, not too informative.
That's O.K. They might be new to the web game. Put
in a used GERMAN Bosch pump I had. Nicknamed "shiny".
1k miles so far this week. Really quiet and no more
performance problems. I had a pump from my 85 5kt and
my 89 200qt and their is no difference other than
Bosch and Audi p/n's. I'm sure that the collar
supplied with the Pierburg works fine. I also looked
at Holley in-tank pumps. Super high flow pump (255
liters per hr.) good to 800 HP for a 5.7L Camaro or
Firebird for $185.34. Has a hugh poly sock for a
filter at the base. Would need a custom collar to
hold it in the mount, but I don't think this would be
a problem. Also splicing of the 2 wires. Just
something I looked into following the Czech debacle.
Thanks
Jim Accordino
