usually, at least after a point.  The "more power" comes in higher, and
you get a freer revving engine.

You very well might be.  It does depend on how you like to drive in the
city, though - low and gurgly or high and windy... personally I think
for a lot of city driving I'd prefer low end grunt with a decent midrange.
