A few people asked how to use this inexpensive bearing press, so I am
copying the list on my response.
1.Loosen Axle nut and lug nuts with car on ground
2.put car on jackstands
3.remove brake caliper and rotor
4. Remove axle
5.use slide hammer to pull hub from bearing
6.remove snap rings from bearing
7.using the threaded rod from the kit, push the bearing out using a larger
ring on the back side that sits on the wheel bearing housing, and a small
ring on the front side outer bearing race that is just smaller than the
bearing outside diameter. A air impact wrench and greasing the threads of
the puller helps. This might have to be done from the back on some cars.
8.Clean the rust and dirt from the snap ring grooves and bearing seating
surface in the housing.
9.reinstall the rear snap ring if it has one.
10.Using the smaller ring from before to push in on the OUTER race of the
wheel bearing, and a flat plate on the back side of the housing use the
threaded rod to pull the bearing in until it hits the snap ring or ridge.
11.Install the front snap ring
12.Using a small ring from the kit that is the size of the INNER bearing
race on the back side of the bearing, and a flat plate on the hub side pull
the hub into the bearing until it seats.
13.Reinstall axle
14.Reinstall brakes
15.Lower car to floor and torque axle nut and lug nuts.
Tip, It is very important what races that are pushed and pulled from if you
want the bearing to last more than 5000 miles. The correct races are in
capital letters.

Subject: Inexpensive on the car hub/wheel bearing tool recommendation
I have this tool from harbor freight, and at less than 80 bucks, I think it
is a great deal.
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=45210
After 2x 5ktq wheel bearings, 2x 80q wheel bearings, 2x 4kq wheel bearings,
and 2x mx6 wheel bearings the thing is still in good shape, but does
require an impact wrench or a lot of elbow grease to operate.
I would also recommend getting this slide hammer at the same time, to pull
the hubs out of the bearings (instead of prying out the hubs), you can use
the tool above to put the hubs back in. $40

For about $120 you are ready to go with your on the car wheel bearing
replacement tools.
Good luck,
Brian
