It's not supposed to... your alternator is designed to put out 90-120
amps at 13.6 volts (or so).  Dropping voltage at the headlights due to
accessories would indicate wiring issues that could be cleaned up.

On my 90Q there is no voltage drop at the gauge no matter what I turn
on.  Impressive...

Yeah, but we did this to cancel out the voltage drops due to the lengths
of wire involved in the stock circuit, and to lighten the load on the
headlight switches.  Then we install higher wattage bulbs, because we
can, and they tend to last less time - because they are running hotter.
