urq downpipe threaded hole question

Well, except for the ceramic coating, somebody is making them for TAP, if not them. It's
abundantly clear to me now that it isn't Audi. I'm embarassed to say I didn't noticed the
differences when I ordered it, even tho' there is a pic on their site.

I was just browsing their site and saw that price and that it would be a bolt-on downpipe for
my 4kstq, I just bought it on impulse. Then since I just got my two-piece manifold back from
Jet-Hot, I got the bright idea to have it shipped directly to them, so I called TAP back and
have them route it to the coaters.
I already screwed up by not remembering that the urq downpipe needs modification to work
with the two-piece manifold, so I suppose I'm screwing myself just a little less by having
multiple reasons to need areas recoated.
I don't know what TAP will say, I'm not expecting much, but I guess I'm going to clean up
the crappy-flow areas with a Dremel, add an 02 bung or two, dent it for the two-piece
manifold, and ship the stupid thing back to Mississippi to touch up the areas that I will be
jacking up.
That downpipe, the crooked heli-coiled EM stud, the Coupe GT exhaust leak from some
unknown location, and the 200q20v I bought turning out to have a loose and smoking turbo
are all conspiring against me to really challenge me to keep up the spirit of this hobby.
I'm going to keep on beating my head against these projects tho', as I'm determined to
make all the past efforts turn into something at the other end.
I'm open to suggestions. I guess that's my plan for the downpipe, and if anyone wants to
cheer me up or say that the downpipe is still worth the money, I'm all ears. It's supposed to
be stainless. I have been quoted $300 in the past for a used urq downpipe.
<sigh>
