horrible missing until 180 degrees

My '83 CGTt is having a problem!!  It starts fine after about 1 revolution
but after it runs for about 10 seconds it starts to pick up a horrible miss
and it won't rev - like it is running pig rich..  This problem lasts until
the water temp reaches 180 and then everything seems to be fine except for a
slight rich (bogging) condition under 2000 rpm..   Is this a thermo-time
switch related issue???

My car has it's original CIS system installed, not a turbo eg. MC style
system..
