HP Valve Springs breaking?

I'd seriously be willing to bet that those valve springs were manufactured
by Techtonics Tuning in Oregon....they had a BIG production run of the heavy
duty valve springs for VW 8v motors (same springs as 10v Audi) that left
lots of customers upset. It's been very well documented in a variety of VW
forums and newsgroups. I am not sure how one would identify Tectonics'
valve springs on sight, however.
Good luck with your ordeal! I hope this helps you out!
