We have been unlisted for about 10 years and two states.
It is amazing how few telemarketing calls we get.  Several a YEAR.

Of course, friends who lose our number cannot call either, but losing a
few friends is more than worth avoiding telemarketers.

MAC: No unwanted calls from Audi parts suppliers either.  I usually call
them. They are on my speed dial anyway ;-(
