If you have a long one that fits, you should be able to undo the
adjustable thing in the middle, cut whichever end has the CW threads
shorter (hopefully it is the longer part), and use a die to put new
threads on it.  Dies are cheaper and easier to use than MIG welders.

So, can you put a photo of your TB on the web somewhere so we can see it
and offer comments?
