034 fuel rail

I'm all for finding alternate ways to shave the poor kitty, but it
sounds as though you are really trying to cut corners and will end up
creating tons more work and headache for yourself. I don't, by any
means, have much of a budget for my car, but I put aside the time and
money(still working on that one) for what I needed for the critical
items to do things correct the first time. Did I mention the credit card
company really appreciates modified Audis?

Yes you will have to remove all 10 or so of those IM bolts, you will
have to modify the car. You claim that you want to keep the engine
stock, but you want EFI? Decide wich way you want to go. If removing the
IM is worrying you, I would seriously reconsider the amount of work it
is to get a decently running car with an entirely new, fabricated fuel
management system. There is no easy, plug and play, turn the key, drive
it off, all for under $50 option.

Converting these engines to EFI takes some time, some money, and lots of
patience.

Thanks, Jim. This is for an MC2 200q. As far as the intake manifold
and throttle body, it's really not an option, unfortunately, to swap
kh pieces. I want to keep the car as stock as possible, as well as
wanting to keep cost and labor down.

I recently did the off the engine head job and I don't want to pull
the manifold off again. It's holding pretty tight.

As far as the rail and brass fittings, that answers my question
pretty well. I'll just find someone to weld up the brass to the
steel. Hopefully, won't be too expensive.
