head gasket - timing belt?

Brings up a good question.

My '89 100q is using just enough coolant to be a
nuisance. About once every other week I have to add a
little to cancel the auto-check warning.

Doesn't appear to be leaking anywhere and 3 hours
after I turn the engine off there is still pressure in
the system when I take the cap off the tank.

Does this mean that my head gasket has a small defect?
Would there be any particular urgency required to
resolve it?
