Big Parking lot - that's what we do with our race tires. Pick out a few hundred feet and do figure 8's for a few minutes fast, then pull them off the car and let them sit for 24-36 hours. When we can't be at the track, this is the way to do it. Of course, our tires also don't last terribly long, and heat cycling only really extends the marginal life of the tire, not the optimal life of the tire (which, depending on tire can be anywhere from 3-20 heat cycles).
