As someone with lots of tires and a few slow leaks,
I always feel taken when I go to the tire store. ($4 for
each valve stem? Please.) Do you use service-station
type mounting equipment, or do you use hand tools?
I've seen bead breakers made out of 2x4s secured to
a stud wall. Several long tire irons and strong muscles
can get the old tire off the rim. But I'm not sure about
mounting the new tire. Do you use the same tire irons
to work the new tire on? That's where I see one of the
pro machines as an advantage. Does the Harbor
Freight stuff work?
And why am I even asking, as my apartment complex
won't let me work on my car in the parking lot? :-(
I'm planning for the future. Or asking for others. Yeah,
that's it.
