HELP-trunk won't open

OK, my 94 Cabriolet got onery this a.m. The tumbler in the trunk lock
cylinder came out with the key!! If I put the tumbler back in, the locks in
the car lock and unlock, but the trunk won't open. Based on the resistence
of the cylinder, I would say the cable is intact, but the trunk thinks it is
in the locked or "locked out" position. Is there any way to get into the
trunk? Or any way to trip out the cable through the hole the tumbler leaves
