Hey Jim,

Not really to solve your problem, but I'm curious how your car would behave with a regular WG spring in there, and the pressure regulator making up the difference.

I still haven't tried it, but my theory is that there will be less lag since the WG won't see a pressure differential at all until the regulated pressure that the upper is set at, after which the spring would control/leak the boost.

Someday I'll try it myself.  I just picked the MC head with the fixed crooked stud hole from the second machine shop, so I'll be able to swap it onto my 5kcstq and dust it off again.

The first machine shop just bent the new stud so that it stuck out straight, suggested I just go with that, and didn't charge me.  The second shop put in a screw-in bushing and charged me $20, which I thought was not bad at all.
