Dave, I enjoy reading these reviews, and they let off a cheer inside me for a marque I dealy love (as far as cars and brands go)...but unfortunately for someone like me, even with a 6 figure household income, I won't be owning either of the two cars below for a long time - so I go out and wrench on my 80tq some more to make myself feel good. Does it surprise me that an $85k Audi is an excellent car? Absolutely not, especially in light of Audi's donimation in LeMans, its clear they have the technology to build the best cars in the world. It is more shocking to me how Audi got into its late 80's, early 90's slump, don't forget that Audi enjoyed similar success and acclaim all thruought the 80's, it was an unpredictable PR event that blind-sided them so powerfully that it took almost 10 years to recover from it, but all the while, I don't believe Audi's cars were actually the major problem.

Now, if I picked up my next C&D and in a category of cars such as the WRX, Neon turbo, etc Audi had a winning car, that may garner some excitement in me, enough so to go to my local dealership with serious intent.

I understand Ferrari and Lamo make some excellent cars for above $200k...whoop de do? I wouldn't know.

Living with reality,

Javad
